CE Software, Inc. Stock Commences Trading
Company begins active trading on the OTC Bulletin Board market under the symbol
CESW
West Des Moines, Iowa, August 2, 2000 - CE SOFTWARE, INC. (OTCBB Symbol:
CESW) today announced that its common stock commenced active trading on the OTC Bulletin
Board market on Friday, July 28, 2000.
CE Software, Inc. stock (CESW) was issued as a taxable dividend to the shareholders
of record of CE Software Holdings, Inc. (CESH) as of the close of business on April
28, 2000. This distribution was approved at the CESH annual shareholder meeting on
April 27, 2000. The spin-off of CESW occurred immediately prior to the CESH merger
with Lightning Rod Software, Inc. Subsequently, CESH changed its name to Lightning
Rod Software, Inc., and is now trading on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market under the symbol
LROD.

Rod Software will value the dividend distribution, and therefore the tax basis, at
